Handbuilding and Textural Decoration with Bernard Kerr

  • Mundaring Arts Centre 7190 Great Eastern Highway Mundaring, WA, 6073 Australia (map)

Join Bernard Kerr to create textured ceramic forms inspired by native bush food plants of Noongar boodja. In this three-day workshop you’ll learn how to hand build and decorate vessels using highly textured surfaces, sgraffito, sprigging and other techniques to reflect the form and texture of these unique local food sources. Works will be fired and ready to pick up 3 weeks after the workshop.

Selected pieces will be showcased in an exhibition as a part of the Food for Thought project.
