Join Safe Keeping exhibiting artist Ric Burkitt for a four-hour workshop exploring abstract acrylic painting. Ric will guide you through the process of developing abstract works by building layers of ‘history’, deleting and reinventing, adding and subtracting elements and ideas. You will be encouraged to take risks, to throw out old habits and constraints, and paint with confidence as you work to find your own voice.
Primarily a painter, Ric works in a variety of styles and mediums from his studio in Stoneville. His current body of work explores the potential of abstract composition – through colour, line, shape and texture - to make emotional connections with the viewer.
