Now in its 13th year, this year’s not-to-be-missed, Worn Out Worn Art Parade will be held at the Darlington Arts Festival 5.15pm – 6:15pm on Saturday 4 November.
The parade is a culmination of a year-long series of workshops where young people from across the Eastern region have pushed the creative boundaries to create dynamic Wearable Art from recycled and found materials.
A festival-style procession will begin the free showcase, leading audience members to the main stage at the Darlington Arts Festival to experience the incredible ‘sculptures for the body’ constructed in sessions at various school, community groups and at the Midland Junction Arts Centre.
Presented by Mundaring Arts Centre and the Local Drug Action Group, the Worn Out Worn Art project provides an outlet for young people’s creativity and self-expression. The project encourages young people to think outside the box exploring ideas, concepts and materials in innovative and unconventional ways.
Proudly supported by Local Drug Action Group, Act Belong Commit, Darlington Arts Festival, Shire of Mundaring and City of Swan
