Claire describes her work saying, "Human evolution is so closely connected to that of the horse. Without the horse, modern day farming practices wouldn’t exist. Without the horse, the wild west couldn’t have been immortalised by Hollywood. Without the horse, humans would have no symbol that combines romance, freedom, potency and power in quite the same manner. The ultimate challenge for this artist is to try and evoke all those feelings using discarded material from the road verge."
