Mundaring celebrates our regions sewing history with leading contemporary artists responding to the political, social and economic impacts of the invention and use of the domestic sewing machine (1850’s -1980’s) as well as selected historic sewing machines from the Collection of Charles Lithgow. Featuring works by Angela McHarrie, Coral Lowry, Eva Fernandez, Geoffrey Drake Brockman, Judith Forrest, Linda van der Merwe, Mikaela Castledine, Nalda Searles, Paul Caporn, Stuart Elliott, Susie Vickery and Tee Ken Ng, the exhibition will be opened by fashion designer and artist Megan Salmon.
