Using needle and thread instead of paint and brush the WA Inspired Art Quilt Group, consisting of eight like-minded award-winning quilters, create contemporary quilts that share kinship with painters as much as they do with traditional hand sewers. Setting themselves themes, the works on display represent quintessential WA conditions – Sand, Scheme, Strata and Salt (series 1) and Primary Industry (series 2).
