Shire of Mundaring Professional Artist Callout
Mundaring Arts Centre is looking to identify artists who have a connection to the Shire of Mundaring to inform our community-responsive programming.
We are looking for professional artists who have previously, or currently live, work or have a strong connection to the Shire of Mundaring. Whether you have been involved in our program before or this is your first contact with the Arts Centre we want to hear from you.
In line with NAVA and other industry criteria, professional artists are practitioners who satisfy any two of the following:
Have tertiary qualification in the visual arts or equivalent experience typical of others in the industry;
Have work represented by major public collections;
Earn an income from arts related activities, and carry out this work in a business-like manner;
Have significant and peer recognised expertise and ability;
Be represented by a reputable gallery;
Have a current practice, with a regular and recent exhibition history;
Have recently been the recipient of a recognized art award, prize, residency, commission or grant; or
Be a member of a professional association or union (i.e. Artsource, NAVA etc.)
